I like the area alot, in fact its on my shortlist of places to retire (NC Mountains), but there are many roads that are just as good and dont have nearly the traffic. It's nice to go there and check the block and get a picture and a tshirt other than that I like blood mountain much better.

not that I don't like the area... but if you like roads like that... just move out west into the country. there are tons like Blood Mountain... I doubt many if any like the Gap... but a lot more open space and less people...

western colorado would be phenomenal for that... and you have Utah right there.

That would be sick. Couldn't you take the Skyway to get back if you went East to West?

Nope, not if you take the "Dragon"... There's a great route down 28, 129, etc but it's not the actual "Dragon". That part of the road runs you quite a ways out. I guess you could go around but it would be quite a trip for the locals... I guess it could be done, maybe just on the weekends?

I'm not sure about over there, but if you are constantly going over the double yellows where we ride, we will come up to your ass and tell you to stop or GTFO off the mountain. With bikes racing up and down we don't need any clowns causing head on collisions.

Typical big wing homos.....

Thankfully, I rarely see that here. Only stupid shit I've seen around here are sometimes when large groups of riders are racing up and down Blood Mountain - they will often be all over the road, racing each other up to show who has the biggest balls or whaterver. Fucking train wreck waiting to happen. If I come across those guys, I either wait them out and will ride up a few minutes after them, or will go the other way.
