I'm somewhat ambivalent about trees, and I know damn well I can't sit through a 3-hour cartoon with a shitty plot.

I don't suspect I'll watch it on TV for free either, let alone pay for the "privilege".

Someone told me the tickets were higher than normal for the 3-D?

I know everyone is saying it's fantastic, but I am not paying mire than $10 to watch a movie unless that includes beer.

Funny thing is, I have yet to see a trailer for that movie that even mentioned anything about a plot. It's just shiny pretty things to look at. They have fish tanks for that.

I'll likely wait for DVD. The movie I DO want to see in the theater is "Book of Eli"; I don't think I want to wait to see it on DVD.

I loved it.

I didn't see it as a Tree Hugger movie but from friend's I was told it's like Dances with the Wolves. Archetypal (sp?) stories are archetypal (sp?) for a reason.

Because you don't have to pay royalties when you rip them off?

What the hell is wrong with just going to see a movie for the great CGI effects? Does everything have to have an original plot? Meaningful dialog? Just go really stoned and put in ear plugs.

I think you expect too much from film makers today.
