Don't you find it funny when you watch the news and all they say is the amount the drugs is worth.

It's illegal cause they gov isn't getting the money.

No, each individual drug has a myriad of different reasons why it is illegal, however the value is only dictated by its legal status. The story of the drug war is a convoluted conspiracy involving the Government, Corporate America, Racism, and Drug Companies.

Even the cheapest of the illegal "narcotics" (Calling weed a narcotic is so laughable), marijuana is worth $400 an oz or approx 1/2 the price of gold right now. So yea, very valuable stuff.

BTW, if you have Netflix streaming there are some great documentaries that'll really make you think on there. "Grass", "The Union", "Super High Me" and "Beer Wars" are all pretty good flicks.

You are right of course weed is technically a Hallucinogen with mild sedative effects.

LSD and Mescaline are hallucinogens, Marijuana even of the strongest variety is not.

They might off cocaine or heroin, but they wouldn't make that much from Marijuana because even with legalization there would be tens of thousands of off the books growers. They could in fact make millions in tax revenue from pot, but that would be mostly through medical dispensaries.

Possibly true but they spend money now to keep it off the street....even if they only garnered $3 in revenues, they would "make" millions in saved taxes.
